「喫茶NISSIN」にて「TANERI STUDIO」のグループ展「ブレイクタイム」がスタート!

TANERI STUDIO's group exhibition "Break Time" has started at Cafe NISSIN!

Founded in 1945, Kissa Nissin is a coffee shop located at the edge of the Seto Suehirocho shopping district.
Run by the fourth-generation owner, Rika Asai, and the third-generation owner, Mayumi Fujii, they have a deep love for art. The artists who work at Taneri Studio visit them as a place of relaxation.

The two companies have a mutual respect for each other, and are now holding their first collaborative exhibition, "Cafe NISSIN ART DRIP with TANERI STUDIO 'Break Time'." The exhibition will run from Thursday, September 18th to Sunday, November 30th, in conjunction with the Aichi International Art Festival 2025. We'll share with you what it was like visiting on the first day!

Rika Asai , the fourth generation owner of Cafe NISSIN, and Mayumi Fujii, the third generation owner.

Regarding this project, Rika, who has been involved in creating it since its inception, said, "The works produced by Taneri Studio are unique and distinctive. I hope that people will enjoy them as art, feeling surprisingly close to them and feeling a sense of relief when they are close by."

Furthermore, Mayumi, who has been working at the shop for over 40 years, says, "This town is often described as retro, but I would like Seto Suehirocho Shopping Street to continue as an artsy shopping street, and as a place where people who want to do something new and different from existing values can easily get started.I would like there to be both wonderful art and coffee there."

This is a work by artist Aoi Takayanagi . It is also the main visual for the flyer. She painted it based on her own interpretation of the park "Nabrul Garden" that spreads out in front of Taneri Studio.

Open-fired works by ceramic artist Natsuki Nakayama .

This bird is attractively painted with gentle, blurred strokes by artist Kato Nobuya .

During the event, the exhibits will be changed approximately every three weeks, and each artist has a completely different style, so you can enjoy a different worldview each time.

On this day, we had the specialty "Nissin Sandwich" with nametake mushrooms and the limited-edition coffee "Ethiopia Lekempti G4." They intentionally leave the cracked and chipped beans unremoved so that you can savor the unique flavor.

The artists whose works were on display happened to be there at the time of the interview!

The Seto City Center venues for the Aichi International Art Festival 2025 are also located nearby.
In between art appreciation, why not take a break and enjoy some more art at Cafe NISSIN?
